Arrived in perfect condition and arrived well before delivery date A must for any Manga fan. I bought it for my sons birthday as he loved the film, and he wanted to know all the story, and now he does and he thought it is an excellent collection.

Well not going into depth, if you like the Manga and the movie, this is a must, amazing story and great artwork. Nice size, well made, ticks all the boxes of what you would hope for, though keep an eye on price. I was lucky to get this for £89, the next day it went up to £120, in past week or more its been up and down, £115/£93/£97, so if in no rush you might save a few pounds if you time it right. PS For those new to Japanese comics/Manga, you read the back of the book to the front, its odd, but you do get used to it.

Beyond awesome for any fan the pages are big and clear on high quality printed paper. The pictures the come with the collection are just as good if a little better. As someone struggling to find the whole set this find is the better than I could have hoped for. The only thing some people may have a problem with is that the translation version is the one where Galleys name is changed to Alita as the title suggests however I prefer Alita and just head Canon that her full name is Alita Galley.

1 of my fave animes ever really impressive set cant wait to read these and the art cards are amazing the only thing is the card box that holds them came damaged, can see others have had same problem dunt know if this due to carelessness or because pretty heave set ile just add sum sellotape to try and stop any further damage to the box this is a must buy if can get hold of it

Uniq art style, sharp and dynamic. Old school (in the best possible way) cyberpunk manga. It has almost nothing in common with the movie, apart from maybe some visuals and some story overlapping. Manga is much grimmer and more brutal. You can feel the velocity of every action scene and cybernetics designs are amazing. The story is simple but not without twists. Irreplaceable classic!

Vaya maravilla de producto. Se trata de la colección de Battle Angel Alita, con cinco tomos que narran la historia principal, con el añadido de un tomo más, con historias secundarias y complementarias a la principal. Además, incorpora tres ilustraciones en un formato duro tipo cartulina, con brillos, que son una pasada. Los tomos son de tapa dura, con una encuadernación y edición muy cuidada. El papel empleado es blanquecino, por lo que el contraste con el dibujo de tinta negro es magnífico y limpio. Algunas de las páginas aparecen a color, pero en su mayoría, son en blanco y negro. En cuanto al estilo gráfico, es de un elevado detalle, con trazos muy limpios, empleando técnicas de rallado, sombreado, trama... para dotar de volumen y profundidad a las escenas. El tamaño es adecuado, y que el tomo sea mayor al de los manga clásicos se agradece, porque así permite disfrutar más del dibujo. En conjunto, se trata de una edición muy cuidada con una alta calidad, tanto del dibujo, como el gramaje de los tomos, así como la edición e impresión de los mismos. Es una edición perfecta para aprovechar y descubrir a Alita, si no conocías nada de ella con anterioridad.

I've been a fan of Battle Angel Alita since the 90s; I already own the entirety of the original Viz run from 1994, as well as volume one of Gunnm in Japanese. Needless to say, I was excited to add this to my collection, so I'm sure you can imagine my disappointment when I opened the box and discovered the condition of the item I had spent nearly $200 dollars on. Remember that scene at the beginning of Ace Ventura: Pet Detective, when he's kicking the box down the hallway? This looks like someone had thrown Jim a couple bucks to reenact that scene. It's so bad that someone has used packing tape in an effort to keep it from falling completely apart. My 30 year old copies are in better condition than the product I received! How any order picker could possibly imagine that this was in an acceptable condition to send out to a customer is beyond belief. To be fair, however, in all the years I've been ordering from Amazon this is only the second major disappointment I've experienced. I've requested a return/replacement, so we'll see how that turns out. As for the series itself, it's great, so naturally it gets a 5 star review. I'm not going to give it a lower rating just because the product is in terrible condition. Alita should rightly be regarded as one of the greats in modern manga.

Essa coleção é perfeita pra quem é maluco por essa série e não quer ter o trabalho de reunir todos os volumes um por um.

Le coffret est arrivé parfaitement emballé, sans aucun coin abîmé. Chaque tome était en état impeccable, rien à redire. J’ai acheté cette collection uniquement parce qu’il n’existe toujours pas de deuxième film Alita Battle Angel, et j’étais désespéré de découvrir davantage de cet univers. Je ne suis ni amateur de lecture, ni fan de mangas, et je n’aime pas spécialement remplir mon appartement de livres… mais la qualité de cette édition m’a vraiment surpris. Les volumes n’ont rien à voir avec les petits mangas « bon marché » dont l’encre vous noircit presque les doigts. Ici, on a des livres de belle facture, avec un papier propre, une finition soignée, et un rendu quasi premium. C’est bien sûr à 90–95 % en noir et blanc, dans le style japonais, à lire de droite à gauche. J’ai presque terminé le premier tome, et le plus intéressant pour moi est de voir comment les créateurs du film se sont éloignés de l’original pour réaliser un film que je trouve, personnellement, encore meilleur que le manga. Le film m’a profondément marqué et j’attends toujours avec impatience une suite au cinéma. Pour ceux qui aiment les mangas et l’univers d’Alita, ce coffret de grande qualité est un excellent choix. Pour ma part, je serais tout de même plus heureux de voir enfin un Alita Battle Angel 2 sur grand écran !

Stunning and intricate story line. Massive attention to detail in both the graphics and character development. Hugely enjoyable. Believe the hype that this could well be the best science fiction manga work ever.
