My back had gotten so bad that I was sleeping on an air bed on the floor. Our memory foam mattress was just too hard, but we couldn't put a softer memory foam topper on it because I get so hot at night. A friend told me that they made "cooling" memory foam, but as near as I can tell that's just hype. After doing some research, I decided to try this product. At first it didn't seem like much--my husband said, "it doesn't seem thick enough." (This is actually a good thing, because you can still used your same fitted sheets.) I did not experience an instant revelation after putting it on the bed. It's not like sleeping on a magical cloud or anything. But after a week of sleeping comfortably on it, my lower back is very happy. (I'm 140 lbs. and mostly a back sleeper; my husband is heavier and a side sleeper, and reports a decreased incidence of shoulder-numbness.) It doesn't trap my body heat; when I wake up, the foam under me is only pleasantly warm. And it had no smell at all, even right out of the box. Some people comment that latex has a weird texture that you have to get used to; I don't get this. To me it just feels like a soft foam pad. And since I was preparing myself for the price of a new mattress, spending just over 200 bucks to fix my sleep problems (and avoid mattress shopping) seems like a pretty great deal.

I have a Sleep Number mattress that I like to keep on firm for my back. The only problem with this is that it causes "pressure" points when i lay on my side...my shoulders, shoulder blades, hips, the outer side of my knees, and even the outer sides of my ankles hurt, causing me to move around a lot. When visiting my daughter and son in law's cottage in Cashiers, NC, they had this topper, the 3 inch Soft, on the bed that I slept in. I wasn't so sure about it when I first sat down on it. However, when I layed down to go to sleep, it was heavenly! I am a really hyper person and have a hard time turning my brain off to fall asleep. I honestly, for the first time in forever, fell asleep right away! When I got back home, I ordered this king topper for myself. It has been a total game changer for me. I can keep my mattress on firm for my back, but this topper adds just the perfect amount of softness that eliminates all of my pain spots. I cannot begin to describe how wonderful it is, and I truly do not want get out of my bed in the morning. This is the best $400 I have spent on anything in a long time. Words cannot describe how wonderful it is, and I can promise anyone who buys it will fall in love with it!

Yes, a thousand times yes. My 7 year old hybrid (Wink) mattress was not making my hips and shoulders happy. A Temper-Pedic mattress topper wasn't helping either. Between the extra high/firm edges on the Wink bed and the weird qualities of the Temper-Pedic (cold and hard in the winter until your body warms up the foam and just not enough pressure relief overall) I had to admit the bed ensemble was not working. So while I decided on a new mattress, I purchased this latex 3" topper. Night and day. Night and day. No more hip pain, and almost no shoulder pain (side sleeper) ever. I sleep better on this topper with an old, sagging-in-the-middle mattress than I ever have. It does move around just a bit over time, but not as much as the last topper, and it's easy to move back into place. It's been about 3 months since the purchase and I LOVE this topper. So much so that I've decided to order a latex hybrid mattress, so I can feel more of the latex bouncy, floaty, heavenly support.

I was sleeping on a very hard pillow top Stearns and Foster mattress. It started to hurt my hips a lot. So after researching what's the best type of mattress topper and discovering that it's latex, I bought this 7 months ago and it's very good. It's not warm or cool when you sleep on it it's very neutral actually. I recommend it.

If you got a mattress that's just a little too firm, this is exactly what you're looking for. Latex will last a long time unlike memory foam and the spring back is much nicer than the sink in of foam. Very nice on the shoulder and hip when side sleeping but not too soft that it hurts stomach sleeping. Excellent motion isolation as well, if you sleep next to someone who tosses and turns this will keep you asleep.
