Works great for me! Firestick 4k - Projector - 5.1 surround! (Older receiver)
It took a little research on how to set it up right in order to get 5.1 audio from the optical cable. Many mention setting to PCM on the Firestick, but optical doesn't have the adequate throughput for 5.1 channels. Dolby digital+ would be ideal, but Dolby Digital setting worked for me. This is basically a budget home theater setup using an Elephas 4k supported projector, which does look much better in compressed 4k than standard 1080p, so the HDCP support helps to get the 4k picture. No noticeable audio lag. Connectivity was simple.

That alone should tell you how awesome these headphones are
I bought three of these. That alone should tell you how awesome these headphones are. Forget Beets, these are superior by far. The sound can't be beat and they are top of the line for comfort and noise cancellation. Even without sound streaming they cancel ambient noise. The cables are detachable which means you can replace them easily if your cat chews them or they get destroyed for whatever reason. Honestly, these are unsurpassed in quality and performance. Buy them and rest assured you are getting the best product out there by far.

Great 4K product HDMI and for powering Zone 2 speakers
I have 3 devices. A Roku Ultra, a Denon Receiver with zone 2 amps, and a Samsung 75” TV! I wanted to utilize the EXD2 to break out audio to feed the zone 2 amp, and power my remote speakers. All in all, I purchased 3 J Tech devices in an effort to separate an audio feed from the HDMI awhile leaving the audio and video intact for the TV. The first one failed to break out the audio, while still providing audio and video via the HDMI for the TV. I was advised my J Tech help desk that I had purchased the wrong model J Tech device, and recommended the EXD2 model. I purchased my first EXD2 model. I wired it with an HFMI cable from the Roku to the input on the EXD2. Then another HDMI cable from the EXD2 to the TV. I also had an optical cable from the EXD2 to the Receiver. Analog outputs from the EXD2 were feed to my one 2 inputs on the Receiver. were feed to Another HDMI cable came from the Receiver to the TV. It functioned perfectly for the first week, then proceeded to drop the video to the TV. I returned that device, and received a replacement EXD2. It functioned perfectly for about a week, then started dropping the video, just like the first one I had. I called the help desk and they suggested trying a different input on the Receiver input. I tried a different input, and it worked for the videos. However, it then dropped the audio for my zone 2. I once again called the help desk, and they suggested wiring around the Receiver and not through it. That is, sending the HDMI a cable from the Roku directly to the TV, instead of through the Received. Well, that worked for the video, but resulted in loss of control over the audio volume. I called the help desk again and they had no additional suggestions. The J Tech folks were very nice and helpful, but could never seem to get the device functioning properly. After all this, I gave up. I ended up buying another audio out device from another manufacturer and it works great. No dropping of the video to the TV, or the zone 2 audio. And I did not have to wire around the Receiver. The HDMI cable from this device went through the Receiver, giving me volume control. Cost $26. All of the devices I have mentioned here pass 4K 60 Hz video.

Cheap and works well.
All around the product is great and customer service is awesome. They followed up after my purchase to make sure everything was in order and was very thoughtful. I haven't had any trouble at all. Honestly I only bought it to use until I got my new TV. For general use it's great and the sound was pretty good, wasn't great (the reason for 4 stars). I did notice some slight distortions, but for the price, you really can't complain. I would recommend it to a friend or buy it as a gift. The device is built well and is simple to use. Works with Xbox One

Great splitter for most anyone.
High quality sound with no latency. I’m using this box to go from a streaming device to this box which splits out the sound to my balanced sound input connection and using studio monitors for sound output. The quality is super crisp. Would recommend. Good value for what you get and small enough to pop it behind any crevice you can find.

This is a great converter and a perfect choice for any one to use.
This thing actually works flawlessly. I just bought an OLED TV and bought an insignia optical to analog converter to use with it. I had all kind of weird problems. I would get popping noises when I changed channels or inputs. It wasn't a loose cable because no matter what I did it would eventually act up again. My speaker system is an auto on/off type, you know a short period of silence it turns itself off. A few hours later I heard this loud motorboating noise coming from the living room and is was due to the faulty insignia converter, the TV had been off for sometime. I figured I would try another optical-analog converter and this one is working wonderfully. Could not be happier!
