Quality magnet wire - perfect for building baluns
This BNTECHGO 18 AWG magnet wire is excellent quality and worked perfectly for building a balun for my antenna system. The enameled copper wire is consistently gauged throughout with a smooth, even coating. No thin spots or inconsistencies that would cause issues. The enamel insulation is durable and holds up well to winding around cores without flaking or cracking. The wire is flexible enough to work with easily but maintains its shape once wound. Stripping the enamel when making connections is straightforward with a lighter or scraping. The 18 AWG size is perfect for common balun builds—thick enough to handle power but not so heavy that it's difficult to wind tightly. The copper quality is evident in the wire's consistency and the clean solder connections it makes. For the amount of wire you get, the price is very reasonable. Having a good supply on hand means I can experiment with different balun designs without worrying about running out. The spool keeps everything organized and tangle-free. Whether you're building baluns, transformers, inductors, or other RF components, this is quality magnet wire that performs exactly as it should. Highly recommend for any ham radio or electronics projects!

Excellent Magnet Wire — Great Quality and Reliable for DIY Projects
I bought the BNTECHGO 16 AWG Magnet Wire to build a coil for my ham antenna, and it has worked perfectly. BNTECHGO products have always been reliable for me, and this wire is no exception — good quality, easy to work with, and excellent value for the price. Important Note: The wire’s amperage rating depends on the gauge and your winding configuration. Make sure to size your wire appropriately for your current requirements to avoid overheating or damage. Potential Uses: Building coils for ham radio antennas Transformer windings and inductors DIY electronics and RF projects Solenoids and electromagnets Educational and hobbyist electronics experiments Motor or relay windings Key Features: 16 AWG enameled copper wire 0.0492" diameter per spool 4 oz spool coil, convenient size for projects Temperature rating: 155℃ for high-heat applications Durable enamel insulation for reliable electrical performance Widely used for transformers, inductors, and other magnetic components Bright red color for easy identification Disclaimer: This review reflects my personal experience only and is not professional electrical or technical advice. Always follow proper safety procedures and ensure you use wire rated appropriately for your application’s voltage and current requirements.

Great mag wire, but....
I bought the 32 AWG Magnet Wire 4 oz spool. I am an electrical design engineer, so I use quite a lot of this. Great wire, enamel scratches off nicely, solders nicely, not prone to breaking, BUT when I reached for this 4oz spool in my parts kit, one end of the spool had broken off, and I suddenly had this bird's nest pile of 32 gauge wire--yuck! It looked to me like they crammed too much wire on the the spool. I chucked it and reordered the 2oz spool. I highly recommend this wire, but buy the 2oz spool.

Quality copper wire!
Good quality copper wire for constructing ham end fed antennas! You have to scrape or sand off the enamel on areas to make clean solid solder points, but that is the process with most protected copper wire. Great stuff!

Good for wiring
Good for rework PCB. The insulator can be melted by soldering iron+flux. No need to stripe it out.

Multi purpose wire
This stuff is fantastic! I recently used it to modify a Super Nintendo Junior console for RGB output. The great thing about magnet wire in my book is the firmness of it. It might not be entirely intended for the case I was using it for but it makes running wires around circuit boards so much easier as you can bend and shape it to a precise path without having to tape it down to keep it in place. The insolation seems fairly good too as the signal interference that I was getting using my previous wire is no longer visible when running the SNES thru a video upscaler. Great stuff and it's going to be my "go to" wire from now on.
