Bresser Telescope Pluto 114/500 with mount and tripod

I purchased this for my husband as a Xmas present, so I wanted to get a good quality telescope without breaking the bank too much. We've only got to try it once since then when we pointed it at the moon. I was pleasantly surprised just how excellent the viewing quality was as we could see the moon's surface and craters in great detail. I am certainly looking forward to using it a bit more to see just how great it really is!Size wise it is quite large and takes up a goo bit of room, but both the scope and stand feel sturdy. Also purchased a bag for this to dismantle when not in use which was shockingly expensive, so be prepared for that when buying any telescope not just this one. My only gripe was that it came delivered as it is in the original box, which took a slight battering and not very discreet. Almost took a star off for that but the item itself is definitely 5 stars and worth every penny paid for it.

I like how it comes with 3x Barlow and with 4mm and 20mm lens so I don’t have to buy it for more expensive price I only recommend this for that are beginners and are new in to astronomy haven’t got the best weather this week so I will wait for the sky to more clean and maybe I’ll see the Jupiter mars and Saturn and the moon of course it’s really good for upgrading for example if u want to have a better experience in astronomy then buy 5x Barlow lenses so u can more detailed planets or landmarks like faraway mountains , buildings etc so ye I got it for cheap price which was really worth as it is buil for beginners like me it comes with ez mount that is really quick to setup I give it a 4 because I wanted to see a better stronger image and not blurred at all maybe a little bigger magnification on the reflectors so u see more details when looking on planets etc

This is a decent telescope and pleased with performance the image is clear and forthe price good quality materials used.

My first telescope in 2004 and regretting a little that it's now with my 6 year old grand daughter. becasue it's an excellent easier finder for a much bigger telescope bu piggy backing, on a separate mount and stand. It's the best made and thought out for quick portable use telescope compared to Skywatcher equivalent. The optics are good. A year ago I split zeta Cancri with it when an f9 4" refractor could not; tiny and unimpressive, but never the less! The eyepieces at the time had to be upgraded and as for the stand and mount, make sure it's the more recent tubular mount I came across with a Skylux 3" refractor and swopped them over. Collimating the secondary at this size is fiddly gingerly, but with the assurance provided in my The Alignment of Telescope Mirrors & Instructions in the Successful use of the Cave Collimator, you'll soon have it very sweet concentric and sharp.
