Front Grill/Grilles Kidney Grill Replacement for BMW 4 Series F32 F33 F36 F80 F82(ABS, Gloss Black)

I am very picky about my car and try to find parts that are better than original in appearance, function, and lifespan. I have the shadow line gloss black trim on car and this grille is excellent in finish appearance, the mounting points are sturdy and cleanly molded, the grille itself is very sturdy, of sufficient material thickness, and marked as ABS plastic and appears to be ABS of good quality. Grille was packaged excellent each side of grille is wrapped in it's own styrene foam bag, then each side is separately wrapped again in its own thick plastic bag, then the grille sides are separated with a good cardboard divider within the Box, and then placed into a good cardboard box thus arrived flawless.

BMW 2014 4.35i convertible (note the last part). Just finished my installation First the good news. Most of all, looks GREAT. Comes very well protected and packed. And finally, a perfect fit; snaps right into place where the original was installed. Now the not so good news. Several posters have described how easy it is to install. Just remove rubber strip and remove top bolts holding on bumper and reach your hand in to release the snaps on the grill. I tried that and NO WAY it would work. Perhaps a 12 year old girl with little tiny hands could get in there but would not have the strength to release the snaps. Why? I think the convertible is the issue. I don't know every detail of every BMW build but I do know that mfgrs put in extra bracing in convertibles to make up for the loss of stiffness due to loss of roof bracing. You can see the extra bracing behind the grill and I think that takes up the space that prevents ones arm from reading the back side of the grill. Finally gave up and took my Fein saw to a couple of the vertical pieces of one side of the original grill. Then I could reach my hand in there and release the snaps. Once one side was out is was easy to reach around and get the other side out. Then easy to snap in the new grill but after trashing one half of the original grill you can see why a perfect fit from the new grill is so important. In the end, if you don't care about keeping the original grill this approach may be the easiest way to install. YMMV

I've now bought this product twice. Here's my review for the first purchase: Order arrived earlier than expected so that was a plus for sure. I read the reviews about people attempting to install on their own and watched youtube videos as well...and decided to try to install on my own. I borrowed T25 and T30 torque bits to undo the 2 T25 screws and the 6 T30 screws. After I easily removed the weather strip and the 8 screws and easily pulled the top of the bumper away from the 4 metal tabs, I realized I did have some room to get one hand behind the bumper to get at the clips but it wasn't easily accessible. I worked the top 3 tabs first and then the 2 side tabs from the driver's side grill and then pulled the grill out. That took about 10 minutes. I left that grill out and reached through the hole to get the passenger's side grill out...another 10 minutes or so. Installing the new grills was literally about 5 seconds for each grill. I moved the bumper back into place, reinstalled the screws and weather strip and the car looks so much sportier. My 428 has the shadowline around the windows so there really was no chrome on the car other than the kidney grills. Now that I've got these 2 new black glossy grills installed, the look of the car is even more sporty looking...which is the exact look I want. VERY HAPPY with this product, and happy I could install them on my own...I'm not super handy but figured I'd give it a shot and got it done...in like 30 minutes total. HIGHLY recommend this product...well worth the price!!!! Here's the second purchase review: This time around I found a very useful youtube installation video which COMPLETELY eliminated needing to loosen the grill panel, remove the weather strip, etc. NO NEED! Get the tool I've attached or something similar (my local mechanic had this tool), remove the BOTTOM three tabs first because you can see them very easily and work with them. Then loosen the tab of EITHER of the side tabs. Now that you have 4 of the 8 tabs free, slowly try to pull the grill out from the bottom, working it back and forth until you also end up freeing the other 4 tabs. It's probably 3-4 minutes per grill to remove, and you don't need to do freeing of the grill panel, the 2 T20 and 6 T35 screws...waste of time. And btw, the product still looks awesome. I bought a used convertible 2015 428i so the first thing I did was replace the grills. Looks AWESOME!!!

Great Quality and fit like a glove! Snapped right in once I got the old ones off. If you are having issues getting the old ones off just utube it.

As of now this is a clear 5 star purchase. Time will tell as I am not sure how the material will hold up. Why 5 Stars? - Fits perfectly, it took the mechanic 10 minutes to install - Looks really good on a black 4.28. It is as glossy as the paint, if you are looking for matte black, this is not your grille. - Was boxed very well in soft cushion, a bag and an extra sturdy box - Well, it looks bad-a$$ (pictures to come) A few things to consider: - You need to take the top 6-7 bolts out. The whole bumper does not have to come out but also not "snap on" easy. - Made in China, not by an OEM. If you want to go authentic, you will need spend 3x As of now, I strongly recommend the product.

The grilles are excellent products, finish and fit. After a few videos I removed the OEM grilles in about 10 minutes. There are two ways to do it: removing the screws on top of the bumper and reaching behind it to access the clips holding the grille in place or reaching through the grilles. I chose the latter. Removing the first one was an 8 out of 10 in difficulty, the second posed no difficulty at all.

Very pleased with product. Only issue was with the delivery, It was delayed twice.

Easy to install and fits perfectly with my 435xi. It did not disappoint. It was a good buy!

Fits perfectly on my BMW 4 series 2018, 100% recommend!
