Q: we have a green leather chair and the ottoman is faded and scratched. Will this cream restore the color?

We have a bark brown leather sectional, a very dark red leather recliner and a dark green wing back leather chair and ottoman. All of them have ware and patina that come with use, age, the sun and so on. Like a lot of people, I wanted to restore the brand new look. I got something much better. I got soft beautiful leather with a soft shine and a blending of faded with the darker areas. It's a small Co. but their phone No. is on the back label an they will answer questions. I use it on shoes and leather clothing as well.

Q: Is this product good for removing scratches in a guitar

Not being a musician, I can't give you an honest answer but I would recommend trying it as it did wonders for an antique rocking chair that made it through the Hurricane Harvey flood. The chair was submerged past the seat for ten days before the water subsided.

Q: Does it remove scratches and scuffs on black leather bags?

It smoothes them out. It does not remove them completely. I have found it to be the best leather conditioner on the market. I have conditioned many horse saddles and tack like reins and latigos which get a ton of use. and it conditions and protects the leather. It smooths out scratches and even some gouges. Brittle leather becomes viable again. I highly recommend it. I do not think you will regret it.

Q: Should I apply neatsfoot oil to my saddle prior to applying this product or is it best the other way around? Polishing a 1966 western saddle.

Would recommend skipping the Neatsfoot oil - not good to use very often because it breaks down the fibers in the leather and the leather then gets flatter and flatter over time. You should just use the Skidmore's Restoration cream, applying to the top and undersides of the saddle and then letting it soak in. Rub it out about 1/2 hour later and repeat the process if it is still stiff and dry feeling. Some really dry and old items will require more than one application to soften up. Hope this helps!
