The Perfect South Indian Filter Coffee
The traditional South Indian filter coffee is known for its aroma, strength, froth and chocolaety bitterness. This coffee has got this right by choosing high quality Arabicas for the great flavor, subtle notes of tropical fruit and caramelly sweetness, blended with select Robustas for the added caffeine punch, strength and slightly teasing bitterness. The roast levels are perfect, somewhere close to full city. The quality and right proportion of chicory adds to the body and the frothy cuppa. With milk and sugar, it is awesome. With some classical South Indian music it is blissful. This is the perfect South India Filter coffee, at its best. (However I do not recommend it for espresso or black coffee variants.)

Good coffee
Tried this to prepare hot coffee and the result was a fresh aromatic filter coffee that has the signature Sidapur Arabica coffee flavour with bold notes from the chicory mixture. Go for it. Pro tip: Experiment with your own brewing style to tone the coffee flavour that's more satisfying to your palate.

Finally I am able to make a good cup of South Indian filter coffee
Thanks to the clear instructions on the product page, I was able to make a good cup of filter kaapi. I use a small Rs250 kitchen weighing scale and this made my coffee consistent. I tweaked the ratio that is mentioned on the product page, to suit my taste. Coffee powder:water ratio is 1:2.5 by weight. I add max of 50gm of hot water (not boiling water. once boiled, take water off the flame and let it cool for 1.5min) to 20gm of coffee powder. Once the decoction is collected, I gently press the plunger to get the last few drops. But don't overdo this. Else, the coffee turns bitter. For milk, use full fat milk only and thicken it by boiling it 2-3 times. Decoction:milk ratio is 1:5. This works perfectly for me. You can tweak ratios as per your taste. I use very little sugar, hardly 1gm for 70-80gm of total coffee. My only issue is 1.5month old powder was sent. I have no other problem. Some tips: - Dont heat the decoction. Once decoction is collected, consume it quickly within an hour or two at max. - Try to make fresh decoction. - Dont use microwave to heat water or milk.

And I became a fan!❣️☕️
Loved it!😍😋 It has a more of roasted flavour though! I’ve always been a instant coffee person... I used to prefer Nescafe Sunrise and classic always... But for a change I decided to try a filter coffee this time Bought this as an experiment And now I can’t stop loving it And I think, I can’t go back to instant coffees now Note: If u are a new person to filter coffees like me, I suggest you to surely buy a steel filter coffee machine (available on amazon or at ur local stores, I bought one from amazon- vietnamese filter mode for 255/-) Because if ur a starter you can’t perfectly prepare a decoction without that filter by boiling directly. Aroma of the coffee will be lost!!!!!!!!! TIP: As I said that it has a more of roasted flavour, you can mix it (1.5-2tsp of this and 1-1.5tsp of some other powder according to your taste and create different flavours and strengths...) For eg. I’m mixing it with Bru green label one. As it has 53% coffee and 47% chicchory... Even independently this coffee tastes awesome....
