Awesome little tripod!
I bought this little tripod to use with a new shooting chronograph that utilizes Doppler radar to determine how fast a projectile is moving. Since I'm restricted to shooting on an indoor range, I needed to mount the chronograph unit just behind and to the side of the firearm and about 4 inches below the muzzle. Shooting from a standing position, the Neweer tripod allows me to set it up on the shooting bench and position the chronograph exactly where I need it to be. I'm especially impressed with the apparent materials and build quality of the tripod. The tripod seems to be assembled very well and does not have a lot of "play" between moving parts. Once adjusted and set up, it's very sturdy. The included quick release mount with 1/4" screw is a nice bonus, as some tripods require that this piece be purchased separately. There is a leveling bubble included on the mount, as well, and I'm able to level up the tripod, mount the chronograph and get shooting in just a couple of minutes. Legs are sturdy and are easily adjustable. The rubber feet are twisted counterclockwise to allow the legs to telescope out in sections by pulling on them. On my particular tripod, these were very tight and I initially had to exert a respectable amount of force to get them to pull out. They've loosened up a bit with use, but they're still pretty tight. A sign of quality, I'm assuming. The tripod arrives in a small cardboard box, but I found on Amazon a set of 6 drawstring nylon bags that were exactly the right size and hold the tripod perfectly, allowing me to carry the tripod in my range bag, which affords it some protection and provides a convenient way to transport it. If you need a small tripod, this is the juice right here.

Built for stability and ease of use. Well built.
UPDATE: Now I have two. This little tripod is well made and very sturdy. I’m impressed with the construction and functionality. I’ve attached a crossbar that allows for a straight down camera shot for macro photography. By itself, the tripod is a very handy tabletop tripod the can be adjusted from about a 8 inches to 2 feet. The leg locking mechanism works well and is very stable. There are multiple leg positions to enable varying degrees of stability by moving the center gravity downward. The weight is just right - just heavy enough to be stable and secure, but not overly clunky. It’s light enough to use as a selfie stick if you do not use a cage rig. Adjustments are smooth as are the mounting ball socket, legs and radial swivels.

Nice low angle platform that has impressive stability.
Very study tripod that works nicely with its standard receiver that takes most quick release camera mounts. This works nicely for low angle lock offs and table top shoots. Well made and adjustable lens height 20" to 8" is handy for creative angles.

Easy and flexible to use plus well built
Works well. I use it to mount a scope on it and it works excellent for that. I also have a camera I can use it for but that is not my primary purpose for it. It is well built and sturdy. It is easy to use and adjust to different heights and angles and even has a built in level. it size is very compact to pack and carry with my scope in the same bag. Overall good value for the money.

Almost perfect
The good: I've been searching for something compact and sturdy to support my Sony A7rIII and other cams for a while. This is pretty much it. It folds small enough (particularly if you remove the column and ball head and flip it around) to fit in most lens-sized pockets in a camera bag, is solidly built, extends tall enough to be used for almost any shooting scenario, is stable... It's a nice bit of kit and will be taking up residence in my travel bag. The not so perfect: First, the center column locking mechanism. This needs a bit of work to secure any camera of appreciable weight. The clamping force is not enough to prevent the A7RIII with and without grip and any average lens from drifting radially. It's easily bumped off-axis while simply adjusting camera settings or, if the tripod is on any slope and the column not vertical, the column will rotate fairly readily. This really needs a rethink to provide more clamping force. I would actually be OK with eliminating the column altogether as it really does not add appreciable height and mounting the ball head directly to the center yoke would both solve the issue, simplify the entire tripod, and make it even more compact. The second item is somewhat personal. I use a Black Rapid strap when traveling and as such, need a mount in the tripod socket to clip the strap to. Typically, I use Manfrotto RC2 quick release plates. These are perfect for a quick and seamless jump from strap to tripod. BR even makes a replacement mount (FR-T1) that is compatible with the RC2 plates. The included ball head functions well enough and the quick release is OK. But, there is not enough depth in the plate to accommodate a fixing screw with a loop like the FR-T1 to attach to the clasp on the strap. Removing the plate and replacing it with a BR screw for each transition is something that was not going to work for me. This is made a bit worse by the top of the ball head interface with the QR plate which has a keyed feature. Not a bad idea but, it eliminates the possibility of swapping just the QR assembly for the RC2. This meant I had to replace the entire ball head. So, the $40 tripod became a $100 solution. Still not a deal breaker though. If they fix the column clamping force and made the top of the ball head shaft universal, this would be a 5 star review. If you are using a smaller, lighter weight camera than the A7rIII and don’t mind the proprietary plate system, then this is a perfect and solid solution for travel.

Well Engineered
Unit is very well made and is easily adjustable and holds its settings well. It’s a perfect mount for my shooting range telescope. Definitely 5 stars.

Excellent value
This tripod is an incredible value. It's rock solid and is quite portable. While the ball head was decently secure as is, I did end up replacing it for a fluid head I already had on hand for a bit of added stability. I was previously using a tripod with bendable legs for low macro photography which was difficult to say the least, but using this tripod with the fluid head upgrade, stability is no longer an issue (using Lumix G9 with Micro Nikkor 55mm lens).

Fits great with my camera and video cam

This is a very sturdy little tripod. I use it for my videos and photos when I do close to the ground photography, which is 80% of the time. Used with a Z8 and 500mm PF lens, it holds up very well. It’s much better than a ground pod. Easy to carry and fast set up.
