Wow, this thing kicked my butt, lol. Totally worth it once it's finished, but I spent probably 5 and a half hours putting it all together from start to finish. I've ordered in bedroom furniture, computer desks, all kinds of shelving, (just to illustrate that this is not at all my first time putting together furniture) so I had anticipated being able to get it knocked out in about an hour or two, but once I started opening the first box which only contained materials for the bottom base part I realized after about the 4th or 5th layer in the first box alone that it might be a little more involved. Basically not one single piece is pre-assembled, and to give an example the back piece (which would normally just be one thin sheet that you tack on) is made up of between 9-12 pieces that all have to slide and lock in together at the same time depending on if it's the base or the hutch (both pieces are similar in putting together but the base has a little more). Whoever came up with that old joke about "some assembly required" must have been talking about this unit lol. Anyway, one excellent thing is that the hardware comes in a big bag, and inside that main bag all the groups of bolts and screws are individually bagged and labeled (i.e. "short screws for drawer backs", "long wood screws for drawers", etc) so that made it extremely helpful, I wish all manufacturers would ship their hardware this way, takes all the guessing and possible confusion out of the equation. Instructions are very well written too. Like I said, this thing was a project to assemble, but after it was done it's a very sharp looking piece of kitchen furniture. Seems very solid and sturdy, seemed to be made more of wood than press board (I could be wrong, though if I am they definitely did an excellent job of making it look and feel like real wood). The styrofoam it came packed in was a little weird, it was kind of stringy on the ends almost like it was spun from strands or something, but that's just an observation I could care less how it was packaged as long as it shows up without damage. Bottom line - would definitely recommend and purchase again if needed, but would probably wait for a weekend to put it together.

Your delivery driver will likely hate you for ordering this, the box for the buffet alone was a 2-person lift (and that's generous). The unit is well designed, with adjustable feet and smooth magnetic doors to fit the space. I wasn't expecting the pieces to be so solid, I had to partially assemble the frame and move it to the kitchen for the rest so I could still carry the thing. The paint finish was smooth and unchipped, and the pre-drilled holes lined up well (save for one piece that I had to self-tap one of the holes). the included hardware is pretty solid too, and the cam-lock fasteners make assembly and disassembly fairly easy, in case I need to take it down and move it or paint a different color. I was hesitant about getting the stainless steel top since they were out of the wood one I wanted, but after putting it on I'm really glad I did! It's very nicely designed and gives the piece a more industrial/rustic look. the shelves are adjustable but very stable, and the door/drawer pulls are just right for this piece. my only heads up is that the drawers are deceptively smaller than I expected, slightly shorter than a sheet of printer paper, but the size of the unit otherwise is great. Right now I've moved my coffee station to it and am in the process of re-organizing some of my kitchen things to fill this unit properly. Loving it so far!

First - I knew it was gray before I purchased thanks to the reviews. I also anticipated the drawers to be more shallow than they could be. This piece does take a while to put together but it’s not a headache (maybe 2-3 hours but we have a baby so moments of distraction were lumped in). What surprised us the most was the printed labels on the hardware packs, it made it feel real organized. We had no issues with misaligned holes and everything fit together very nicely. The drawer rails were pre installed and that helped with how quickly it went together. Read the directions or you may be doubling back to flip pieces, oops. It’s SO sturdy, it feels well made and heavy. If I didn’t have kids then I would feel fine not anchoring it. Probably my favorite purchase from Amazon yet.

It's an attractive unit, at least from a distance. Up close, you can see some parts, like the doors, weren't built very carefully, but overall I am happy with how much it stores and helps me hide away some of the clutter that was accumulating in my kitchen. When finished, it feels pretty solid. The drawers are deceptively small inside. Despite being packaged in 3 boxes and about a hundred pieces of styrofoam, my unit did arrive a little dinged up. Chipped paint on the base. Some black scuffs on some of the parts. One piece had the paint pull off because some of the packing tape inside the box had adhered to the unit directly. It would be nice if they had an instructional video for the assembly since the written directions are lacking, and diagrams are quite small. Definitely lay out all the parts first, and definitely pay attention to every tiny detail of the small diagrams because the written instructions do not tell you much. I had mostly assembled the unit only to discover that I had put a part on backwards, which wasn't clear from the directions. All in all though, once I got going, it took me about 2.5 hours to assemble.

My husband I absolutely love this hutch. It matches our kitchen and dining area perfectly and pulls the whole space together. The molding matches that of the kitchen so well, its hard be believe we didn't design the two together. While it does take some effort to put together, it was no more than in similar pieces of furniture. It took my husband and I around an hour to assemble. The hutch was actually better quality than we expected for the price. The bulk of it aside from the back panel is wood, not laminate covered particle board as you get in other pieces. It includes plexiglass as opposed to real glass, but I personally prefer that as it is less likely to break. Everything was very well packaged and we had no damaged pieces, which was not a concern regardless as the company promptly sends replacement parts when needed. The hutch looks much more expensive than it actually is. If you are willing to put in a little elbow grease to assemble it (it took the two of us about hour) it is a great value. We are already looking the buy the smaller hutch in the near future to add more storage and complete the look of the dining area.

We lost 3 overhead cabinets in Hurricane Florence and didn't want to replace them so we needed additional space somewhere. These two buffets plus the hutch are our solution. Note they are not a bright white but a soft antique white. Pros: These are packaged like priceless pieces being sent to a museum. Adjustable shelves make for versatile storage. Antique white color blends easily with other furniture. Spacious without overwhelming my midsized casual dining room. Cons: The directions could be clearer. I had to take things apart and reassemble a few times. Assembly will take many hours. The drawers don't come out as far as I'd like. I couldn't fit my plates into the hutch behind the doors so they went to the middle section instead. Overall I am very pleased with this purchase and would recommend this buffet and hutch to anyone who needs additional, attractive storage space at a reasonable price.

First things first: I absolutely LOVE the look and functionality of this buffet/hutch combo. The price was right, the size is right, it's beautiful, and fits my decor wonderfully -- no doubt about it. I bought it primarily to serve as a drink bar and to store my dishes in as our new home has no overhead cabinetry. For these purposes, it performs exactly as I hoped it would. The cabinets doors have strong magnets and the drawers slide effortlessly on their tracks. But now for the downsides: Shipping! When you order, nowhere does it say that this item will come in 3 separate boxes. Not even Amazon nor UPS could tell me how many boxes I should be expecting which became an issue after I received 2 very large boxes and began to assemble. It was only then that I realized the entire lower buffet portion was missing. Because the boxes were separated with some of them arriving earlier than originally estimated, I decided to wait a few days and see if the missing piece showed up on schedule. It did not. Nor did the tracking ever suggest anything had been delivered at all. Insert my call to customer service. They were trying to be helpful, but replacing the item wasn't as option as they were no longer in stock, and I didn't want a refund because I really didn't want to try and disassemble and repack the entire hutch. I just wanted the missing buffet! I was at my wits end after weeks of going back and forth between the seller and the carrier with everyone suggesting it must have just gotten lost and to file a claim, I was about to give up and just continue storing my dishes in a plastic bin on the floor. The assembled hutch sat there on my dining room floor, looking as lovely and lonely as ever. Eventually I did start the claim process, and low and behold, the third box showed up two days later. Great. Not so great -- the assembly. Unpacking the item will take a solid 20-30 minutes. It's incredibly well packed, which is great - despite the fact that I still wound up with side panel that had a large scratch down the side. But the amount of cardboard and styrofoam that you'll have floating around your house it irritating. I will give mad props to the manufacturer for provided enough hardware (including extras) and very detailed step-by-step instructions. All the pieces were clearly labeled. But it took 2 of us over 2 hours to assemble, and we easily could have used the extra hands of a 3rd person. I don't think it's possible for one person to assemble this on their own without damaging something. Also, there are pre-drilled holes for the cam screws/locks that were not drilled/sized correctly. This is incredibly problematic when using cam screws since you can't just drill a bigger hole as it will mess up the threading capability. This is to say that there are a couple spots where I was unable to use the cam screw/lock mechanism and had to drill a 3" screw through the pieces instead to hold them together. This likely weakens the item as a whole, and certainly isn't pleasing to the eye. I honestly fear the day that we have to move again because I doubt we'll be able to move this item without it falling apart. So, do I love the hutch/buffet that's sitting in my dining room? Yes, from a visual and functional aspect. Was it worth the headache that came with the shipping, trash, and impending doom that will come when relocating? Absolutely Not.

This unit deliver a few days faster that it originally stated, the box and 1 piece was damaged in shipping, but their customer service was on top of it and had the replacement piece in a few days. VERY easy to assemble, clear easy to read instructions, by far one of the easiest pieces I have ever assembled. Materials are a really nice quality, loved the way it all fit together and it looks amazing. The only thing I wish it did have, was a little more depth and a little more space under the hutch. but it is well worth the money spent, we love it.
