This gel does its job, and has very good hold. It is not sticky, or crunchy when dry, and washes out well. But as some of the reviews have stated. It does have a strong scent. It smells very much like some variety of men’s cologne. It does not smell bad. But since I bought this for my two very young grandsons, I feel the scent is a bit overwhelming for their age. I’m still going to give it five stars, just be aware of the scent if you’re using it for your little ones.
