Highly Recommended
Highly recommend this this book. I took the class for personal enrichment and it delivered. I thought it would give techniques on managing, it did. But provided so much more on personal leadership and self management before managing and leading others.

Thought provoking and fresh look at the complex relationships that are police leadership today
This is a text so it is long and less than exciting. However it gives the reader much to think about as they prepare to join the greatest show on earth; managing and leading a modern police agency. The author has been around a long time. He keeps updating his basic information to keep it relevant for today. I read this for a promotional exam but will keep it to refresh my own classroom instruction and leadership.
