I enjoyed it and my six years old granddaughter did as well

I have a 7 year old that is into prehistoric life so I took a chance that this book would interest him. Its an easy read with many pictures which helped his imagination.

My six year old loves everything prehistoric. While this book is a little advanced for his age, he still asks me to read a few pages for him each and every night. We are enjoying it.

This is a great addition to our school library. It was just as described and arrived very quickly. Thank You for your outstanding service.

Prehistory spans a time of billions of years. Prehistoric life spans a time of hundreds of millions of years. This book is less than 70 pages long. How can you possibly fit hundreds of millions of years of content into so few pages? It is a good beginner book for kids, but, anyones quest for prehistoric knowledge should not end here.

Way too much space in the book is devoted to photographs of fossils rather than illustrations of what the creatures might have looked like. And whatever of the latter there are, are mostly small, blurry drawings or simply photos of museum displays. A very poor effort from DK. I highly recommend DK's other, non-Eyewitness, 512-page "Prehistoric Life" book over this one.
