GLAMGLOW Supermud Clearing Treatment, 1.2 fl. oz.

***UPDATE 07/30/14***I wanted to do a product update on this mask because when I wrote my original review I had only used this mask once and I hadn't received my jar yet. I admit, I jumped the gun a bit...HOWEVER, I completely stand behind my first review and this mask has become one of my must have products!I've had this jar since I bought it a year ago, and I have just used the last of it and I am purchasing another.This mask has remained consistent at thoroughly cleaning out my pores and reducing my blackheads. It's especially magical after camping or traveling when you don't have the time to give your skin as much attention.The one thing that I will say that is different from my last review is that sometimes it DOES bring breakouts to the surface. It doesn't happen every time, but depending on my hormones or the length of time between uses, when my skin is uber clogged by oil, sebum, dirt, makeup etc, it draws it to the surface creating a few blemishes. When this happens I will use the mask the following day as a spot treatment on the blemishes to further draw out the impurities. If I do that they go away after a day or two max. I'd rather have all that gunk drawn out though then left to its own devices to become a massive zit that is 10x worse and takes longer to clear up.I found that applying it with a foundation brush (I bought an E.L.F $1.00 one at Target just for this mask) is so much easier than applying it with your fingers and makes applying an even layer (with the least amount of product needed) a breeze. As long as you rinse your brush immediately after using, it won't dry, harden or gunk up the bristles.This little jar has lasted me a year of weekly to bi-weekly use, which is pretty darn good and further justifies the cost IMO.I have yet to purchase any of the other GLAMGLOW products, but now that I've been using this one for a year I'm willing to branch out and try one of the others.**************I received a sample of this product with a Sephora order a few months back and I quickly forgot about it as it got lost in my sample abyss. While going through said abyss I pulled this one out to try. I didn't know anything about this product however the description of what this mask does seemed exactly what I've been looking for since I've been having major breakouts and blackheads.The consistency and color was surprising. It's much more of a liquidy consistency than other clay masks I have. It smells very herbal and licorice-like. Not my favorite scent, but masks aren't really there to smell amazing. It goes on in a very thin layer. I struggled a bit getting it evenly distributed before it started drying, which is does fairly quickly.Within 5 minutes I could see small dots starting to form as the mask worked its magic at sucking out the nasty stuff from my pores. Within 20 mins my nose, chin, and forehead were covered in these spots and the mask had been fully dry for about 10 mins. It does feel tight but not any more so than other masks, it was actually rather gentle in comparison.Washing the mask off was pretty easy. I didn't feel like I needed a paint scraper to remove it. As I washed it off I could already tell my skin looked less dull. After drying my skin did feel a bit tight, however it felt baby soft and my skin was super smooth. I applied my normal moisturizer and inspected my skin further. My blackheads were as clear as they've been in ages! My skin looked radiant and glowy!After using clay masks I always brace myself for some breakouts, however, 3 days later I have yet to have any new breakouts and the two zits I had before using this mask are completely gone.I'm surprisingly impressed with this product so I ordered a full size straight away. This seemed to be the best price I could find, so Im pretty happy about that. I have no second thoughts about investing in this product. I'm hoping adding this to my skin are regimen will completely change my now apparent aging skin for the better. Having bad skin and breakouts at 30 is embarrassing and I wish I would have taken better care of my skin earlier on.I can't wait to use it again! I literally waiting by the door for FedEx to get here!

The product review itself is on the very bottom.Ok for those who wonder why the price is low let me give you my best short theory. You have product that are ether maybe samples or have been collecting dust for quite some time or have been returned for whatever reason. For those who carry these item that are pretty much exclusive to Sephora well... they gotta get rid those dusty old product some how. They could send them to their other stores but at times they couldn't sell them; such a waste. So we have these other business/a person that would buy it at a lower price so they could sell it online, mainly by bulk.This is my 1st time buying this product online and a 1st time to open this product.Now I bought mine from a seller and I was very disappointed, it said new on feed back. At 1st it look like the package wasn't even open and everything was in place but as I open the product itself I made sure that there was the factory seal. Indeed there was a seal but the seal look weird, it didn't look it was fully seal even though it did. A seal should cover the edge of the product not on the side. It look like someone cutted the edge and plop it on. Not to mention it look dirty having sandy brown color on the edge. Moisture issue? Maybe left in the bathroom or been contaminated by ones hands? I don't know. All I had to do it make sure it was glued on but I thought it was glued till I press the seal down with one finger and yeah...It's been used the edge slightly pop up.For a product that cost $69 at Sephora to an online site like Amazon with a eye catching $20 less is not worth it. Just buy it from Sephora or at Sephora website unless you want someones dirty hands into your product that you purchase that you use on your face.I will be getting another product maybe in a few month and will give you an update what the product should actually look.-Product review-Used the sample version of this product.Now the product itself is amazing for a guy who has really oily skin and very sensitive skin. I get pimples and lots of white heads and clog pores/blackheads. I used different product that are what ever you find on a shelf at a everyday store. Most products I use takes months for my acne to disappear but for Glamglow Mud mask that can not only use as a mask but for spot treatment it takes only 3 days to 2 week to see any difference, just leave it on for 10min to 30min any longer will rune your skin (read the direction as advice). Everyone has different skin so it may vary but I always say if a product that doesn't improve the skin within a month then it is not worth it; for me that is.

I ordered this on Sept 25, 2014 and got it today Sept 26, 2014 so the fast shipping is a plus. Overall I am in LOVE with GLAMGLOW!! Always have and always will. I cant explain what it does for your skin. Lets just say all the hype is true but then again it may not be all that great to other people. Everyone has different skin types so it works differently. Im verrrrry oily and so far your able to see all the oils and dirt being sucked out of your pores. I am huge on actually seeing results working instantly and it WORKS! Although i have only had it for a couple hours I have tried this for a few months now. How? I went to each Sephora in my area and asked for samples lol yeah I know but hey gotta do whatcha gotta do ;) Anyway off subject now.... THE REASON WHY I GAVE THIS A 3 STAR is because my product was tampered with. I opened the tape sealing and noticed that there was a smaller sticker covered by this tape but I ignored it. When i opened it the back of the product was facing front.. yes i know it could of shifted buuut when i opened the actual container the product was all over the rim and you can totally tell it was open. To me it looked half full and idk if its just me but yeah no it was used. So it suckks sooo bad but wtevr I just know now that I WILL NOT be purchasing this item from Amazon anymore. Strictly going to purchase this at Sephora and open it for the very first time by ME! Ugh....
