These are a must for your Cruiser!!!
These are SO nice to have on the bumper. This one came to me fast and in good shape. It had a bit of a "crimp" in the middle but I think it's not going to matter at all when I get it installed.

Looks and Usage
This pad is really nice. Not only does it look great, but it covered the scratches that was already there. It is a little rounded in the back, so I installed it just hanging over the rear of the bumper. I believe it is round for that purpose. I have seen people put it all the way up to the hatch lid, but then the corner of the rear of the bumper is exposed and that is where you will drag things on while loading your PT. I am buying another one for my 03 PT Cruizer as this one went on my wifes 07 PT convertible. She loves it ! I believe this is not made for the PT that shows in the picture as it hangs just a smidge over the cracks on each side where the bumber raises. It still works though and you just have to center it exactly as for that to not show as bad. There are no lines or cracks on each side on the earlier model PT bumpers. I am in a PT cruizer car club called the Treasure Valley PT's, so if you are any where near the Boise, Nampa and Caldwell area of Idaho, look us up on the web and come join in the fun. [...]

Will fit '07 PT Touring AND can be adapter to Chevy HHR
Pad is just barely longer than the width between the molded grooves on top of bumper that line up with the hatch edges. If you carefully center the pad between those grooves, the pad attaches just fine. The included instructions show how to put pad in place, then slowly pull the release paper from the double sided sticky tape, starting at one end, and pressing down on pad as you go.On the '07 there will be about 1/8" over the groove edge, but I'm confidant this will not be a problem because the sticky tape holds very well at the ends.ADDED INFO 6/15 BOUGHT ANOTHER FOR PT THAT I WAS GOING TO GET BUT DEAL FELL THROUGH, AND I GOT A 2011 CHEVY HHR. HAD ALREADY RECEIVED THE PAD SO ADAPTED TO THE HHR. JUST USED A BACK SAW FROM A MITER BOX TO REMOVE THE END SECTIONS SO THAT IT FIT BETWEEN THE HHR's BUMPER PROJECTIONS. AFTER THE FIT SEEMS RIGHT, TAPE IN PLACE IN A FEW PLACES, THEN, STARTING AT ONE END, PULL THE MASK TAPE OFF THE STICKY WHILE PAD IN PLACE. BE SURE TO CLEAN TAPE CONTACT LINES WITH ALCOHOL OR OTHER CLEANER BEFORE SETTING TAPE.

Good product, but not for 07 cruiser
I do not wish to give It a bad rating, as I am sure it is a good product. I traded in my 01 Cruiser for an 07 cruiser turbo limited. This would fit my 01, but did not fit my 07. I would think that the distributor would have known that.Purchased via Amazon, so who do I return it to??

Nice after product for your PT.
I bought this to cover up some scratches I had on the rear bumper. The bonus is how nice it looks on the car after it is applied. I would suggest buying this as soon as you get your car to minimize the scratches that you can get on a painted plastic bumper. I would also suggest that when you apply it to your bumper that you leave a small gap (1/8th of an inch) between the pad and the lift gate as not to jamb the lift gate. Application was a breeze. Nice sturdy product. Highly recommended.

Why Wasn't This OEM On the PT Cruiser To Begin With...?
I bought my PT used, so there were some light scratches. Since I have a dog and use this trunk often, I decided to prolong the bumper by purchasing this step pad. It's a great investment. The picture depicts a 2005 or earlier model. But if you have 2006 or newer model, you need to measure (eyeball) before placing the step pad on permanently to ensure it's centered. It is a strong adhesive stripping and it looks nice on the PT.ADDENDUMHad this now for over a year. Still looks like it came from the factory installed.

2 months into it and it is still there! It is hard plastic Not rubber as it appears to be. Good Fit.
Fits Well. It looks like it may be rubber but is hard plastic that is hollow yet strong enough... it comes with a couple of wipes to clean the surface that the two sided adhesive on the bottom side will stick with... 2 months later...still in place ! It adds a good durable look to a flimsy plastic bumper.
