Jar Fermentation/Preservation/Pickling/Sauerkraut/Wine and Beer Making (2 Piece)

These are a bit bigger than I expected but serve their purpose well. I like this style more than the S type airlocks. Its a cheap airlock that is easy to clean and does its job. Get it. Update: 11/29 - just bought another set. The gromets are a bit finnicky, get extras. Though I haven't had any issues brewing hard ciders in their original containers.

These are a time tested design. They work like they should. Nothing flashy or high tech. Functional and easy to clean.

These are not only a great value, but they are also just as reliable as higher priced brands. Which a 3/8 drill bit and a "step up", you can easily put a hole, and have this installed, in existing Mason jar lids in less than a minute. The best part... drilling the hole yor self will cut your cost in half as compared to products that come with the lid. I just purchased four more of these to replace lids that require a suction pump.

Not the best airlocks in the world but plenty good enough. I really only needed one but at this price, I'm keeping the others for spares. The design of this airlock with the floating interior bullet-shaped piece is a little more dependent on your container sitting level than the old-fashioned S-shaped airlock design. And you have to watch it a bit more carefully to make sure that your water level doesn't evaporate too low. On the other hand, it's easier to fill than the S-shape and MUCH easier to clean.

Just finished my first brew ever with each on a 128oz Apple Cider container with a vigorous champagne yeast. Used a pocket knife to put a hole in the cap and squeezed the grommet in. Worked perfectly with no overflow. Plastic is thick on all 3 parts. Glad I didn't overspend;)

No problems what so ever. Not the type of plastic that cracks easy under pressure. I’ve had airlocks made of what seemed to be acrylic which would crack in your hand with a squeeze. These ones are sturdy and work perfectly. I use them to make wine and they work just fine. I used them with drilled bungs so I haven’t needed of used the stoppers.

So yes there is really not much to say about these as they work as all airlocks do. The only thing that i wish is that they were not so cloudy in color and more clear, but they are a good buy and work well.
