My great nephew seems to be getting on well with it. It is lighter and shorter than a conventional sax, which is better for youngsters. It plays in the key of C, so it's easy to play a duet with a piano or other instruments in a school band. No batteries needed and it comes in its own carrying case. Easy to store away when not in use. Easy to carry to school for lessons or band practice.

I have several plastic instruments and this is the most enjoyable to play. It blows more freely than my Xaphoon and Venova and is pleasant to handle. The one snag I have found is that it is very difficult to hit top g. Perhaps I will need to use a different reed. Any young person who masters the Jsax will find it easy to upgrade to a clarient or alto sax - apart from the weight difference, of course.

If you really really need a reed instrument then it's a good place to start but might be just as well starting on a recorder then moving to a sax when the child is big enough to hold one.

Leider lässt es sich nicht so leicht spielen als vorher gedacht da ich es für meinen behinderten Sohn gekauft habe und er es schlecht blasen kann leider hat es nicht den Zweck erfüllt dass es leichter zu spielen geht weil es auch für Kinder geeignet wäre das ist nicht der Fall würde es nicht mehr kaufen

Für mich leider kein Ersatz, konnte es nur schwer spielen. Und irgendwie hat es mal geklappt und mal nicht mit dem Ton. Hatte ein yamaha gespielt und wollte es für die schnelle Nummer, aber leider für mich unbrauchbar.
