*rolls up sleeves* Let's get this review started people! This story has rightly deserved the "People's Choice Award". And it deserves plenty more. This book has everything! Mystery, A very unique humour, Drama,Romance,Thriller,Action.. I could keep going but you get the gist' It has also has the best depiction of a realistic relationship and scenarios. But still maintains its imaginative spark. While reviewing books we all say that we laughed and enjoyed reading the book, but probably the most you might have done is mentally give a small smile. But believe me when I say this, you are actually going to LAUGH OUT LOUD. And I dare you, who reads this to prove me wrong! This book will teach you more about Interesting History in one chapter than you learned in all of your school days! We all imagine the Victorian Era to be rather dusty with weird shaped dresses and posh people dancing about in massive ballrooms. THIS BOOK WILL CHANGE YOUR MIND. IT WILL MAKE YOU SEE IT IN A DIFFERENT LIGHT. You will never relate to a character more than you will relate to a 19 year old Victorian Girl'. Sounds funny right? Boy you are wrong again' ;0 The author is absolute magic! He makes the scene and settings come alive!. HE WILL MAKE YOU LIVE THROUGH THE ENITRE BOOK! The reason it deserves a five star rating. So many people are confused as to why that is' Let me elucidate. This story has been a massive journey for all us fans. We have lived it with the author, in real time. We have had the pleasure to laugh along with the other fans..made plenty of friends.. Shared our thoughts and feelings.. Made crazy theories, and gave plenty of feedback. In return Sir Rob has never disappointed us. Ever. He is the only author who I know works so hard and dedicatedly. His researches are super accurate. If you do not appreciate the hard work he has put in. You will never appreciate any thing in life then' A BOOK WORTH YOUR MONEY! I am a resident of India, and when I saw the price of this book ,I was slightly taken aback. It was a bit expensive. But I still went ahead with the purchase. But when I got to hold the MAJESTIC beauty in my hand.. I realised it had been worth every penny I had saved up. Mark my words.. YOU HAVE NOT LIVED TILL YOU HAVE READ THIS BOOK!

The book is amazing! No doubt. It is exactly as same as Wattpad with little or no difference at all. Those who prefer reading a hard copy rather than on phone, can buy it. However, if you are buying it to read Mr Ambrose point of view alone then I'd suggest you against it. It has only chapter one of 'Storm and Silence' in his POV. I was personally very much disappointed at this!

There is so much more to this book than is written in the initial description. The characters are unique and interesting and Robert Thier's witty humour is always welcome. The books takes you on an amazing adventure. It is a little slow at first but when things start to get interestingit is hard to keep the book down. Rikkard Ambrose may, at first glance, seem like the typical rude guy with a heart of gold character but he is not! He is simply rude and it is amazing! This book is most definitely worth reading.

The book is really good.The liberal women and the miser but ambitious man are a good match for each other.The plot is a refreshing game, Both as the heroine was not at any one's mercy and hero was not going on all four paws to impress a lady who is not impressed by him rather only want to work to gain her financial independence in the era where every female was supposed to be tied to a man for her well being. The dry humour of the hero and the vivaciousness of the heroine were well matched and very funny.What i did not like is the fact that the author left the reader at a cliffhanger in the end.Hence left out the last star. A good book to read and enjoy funny and interesting dialogues.

I have read this book more than 5 times and it still amazes me everytime I read it. It's one of the best books I have ever read and my all time favorite I cannot wait for silence is golden to be published❤❤

The choice of words,the adventures, well just everything about the book is fabulous. Love it would recommend everyone to read it!

Love this book-series with Lilli and Mr. Ambrose so so much, it is so perfectly written and the best thing is that there will be six of those so lots of reading without having to search for a new good book. (You can read the unpublished book five and six on Wattpad) I really hope it will get filmed someday. I would really like to give more stars if i could.

This book follows young, intelligent feminist Lilly Linton as she acquires a job as secretary of the silent and broading Mr. Ambrose, the manliest of men, who has his mind set on getting rid of her, because women aren't fit for working outside their own house. But obviously, Miss Linton can not allow such things to happen! At first, I feared this book would start of with two characters who dispise each other and end with both of them incredibly in love. But I couldn't have been more wrong. There's so much more to the story. It portrayes the position of women in Victorian London, the irrationality of humans, the way we always want something we can't have and how we fool ourselves into thinking we have some sort of control over our lives. The writing's splendid, the characters have a depth to them that makes them so intriguing and the author has a wonderfull sense of humor. You're captured from the first chapter to the last word of the book, that keeps you hanging on for more! Luckily for us, the second book is being written this very moment! So, to round this up, spend the money, but gain something that is worth so much more! And last but not least, remember: Time is power is knowledge is money!

This is a series that I keep coming back to! The tension in this story is perfect. The characters are all well fleshed out and add something to the story. The plot, while it sometimes is slow, still is interesting. Lilly Linton is witty and she is so fun to read and watch as she continually attempts to outsmart Mr. Ambrose (aka Mr Darcy’s more uptight brother). It definitely is a slow burn, and I could see why it would be too slow for some people, but the journey is so fun to go on. The entire series is packed with humor. I definitely recommend this series!

The book is larger than i expected, a pleasant surprise! The words however begin at the very top and continue to the very bottom, not leaving much room as you usually see in other books. It is self-published i believe, so i'm so grateful to support writers- just a tip! Will buy the rest eventually!
