RC Ground School: The Beginners' Guide to Flying Electric RC Airplanes

Great manual. Lots of very specific information. I can tell that I will need to keep a notebook in a log on equipment I use or purchase. Increased my knowledge and comprehension. It will help with application and acquisition.

This was my second RC related book I purchased. I wish I had purchased this book first because the other was shorter and cost almost 3 times more! This is the book I had been looking for. It goes into great detail about all the things I had questions about. Very happy with this purchase.

This provided very easy to understand basic instructs on how to fly and care for you aircraft. You need to be able to think as if you are actually in the aircraft from start to finish. That way you don’t tend to turn the wrong direction when it’s coming towards you and other flight conditions. You also need to dry run practices such that you can operate all the controls without looking at the controller in your hand. Just a couple of seconds of not watching the aircraft can send it into a crash very quickly. This book teaches you not only the basics but also how to advance in your abilities with more complicated maneuvering.

Comprehensive, well-written, helpful overview. I was already an advanced beginner/low intermediate R/C pilot and this gives me plenty of useful info as I move ahead--and would have been very helpful had I read it even earlier on. Highly recommended!

Very informative, really has up to date info. Author goes thru most of the information necessary to get started with rc electric airplanes. What I didn't like was the lack of photographs and charts that should have been included to explain the subject matter. Include more photos, charts and technical data then I would receive five stars.

Really well written and I like that it is oriented around electric. Makes for a good read on days when you can’t fly. I second the recommendation for the E-Flite Apprentice for a first plane.

This is a fantastic book if you are just getting into the rc airplane world. This topic can be frustrating, especially if you are interested in building your own airplanes but you dont know where to begin. If youre trying to get into this hobby solo, there isnt a lot of solid info to help FULLY guide you to understanding the ins and outs. This book will. I approve.

Easy reading, I am reading because I hope to get back into radio control (after about 15 year hiatus), this time with electric airplanes.

This book is a one day work and so the information quality in it. There is not a single idea that is well explained, except "read the manual of your model". Also the information is outdated. Why 2 stars? If you are planning to buy your first RC plane, this may be OK.
