This was exactly what I wanted for my 5 y.o. great-grandson to practice letter recognition and writing - my 2nd grade teacher-daughter said just teach him LOWER CASE letters since 2nd graders will continue to mix capital letters in woRds. The erasable letters on the back demonstrate the correct way to print the letters - important because my daughter said some of her children print from the bottom up. This is a high quality product useful as a learning tool w/youngsters - and as a placemat. I bought a second one for him to have at home and a set of erasable markers for more color choice in practicing letters. Somehow - I don't think tracing letters is as effective in teaching him to write because, now when he "writes" on his drawing, all letters are sort of round circles - which a lot of letters are as far as he can see, except the 'l" at the end of his name - which he does fine with.

This product is durable, cute, easy to clean and educational. My son was struggling with some of his letters and while he doesn’t enjoy homework he loved using this. We used it as his placemat and let him trace the letters and practice writing them with an erasable marker! I recommend this product!

We had high hopes for this placemat and it's just what was expected. The only problem was that our mail carriers folded and shoved it into the mailbox along with other items and did the same with the replacement, leaving both the first one and its replacement permanently creased. I will have to look locally instead.

My 3 year old has mastered upper case letters, so we wanted to focus on lower case. This was one of the few choices on Amazon. However, we couldn't be happier. It's extremely well made. I like that it has captions under each letter, "A is for...". It's helping her learn the pattern and practice one to one matching as she reads. The placemat is colorful without being over the top. We've used it for 3 weeks and it still looks new.

Easy to clean. Lowercase letters are important and glad to have found something with lowercase letters for kid to learn.

I have had this for a while now and it’s stood the test of time. My son has used it a lot make since schools are closed. Easy to read, vibrant colors and great for helping him to reference when sounding out words.

Great for learning and to eat on. ABC's on one side with some pics, dry erase letters on the reverse side for writing practice.

I ordered a placement from Etsy that was terrific. I thought this one might be similar in quality. However, it was very poorly made. The lamination on the corners was separated and the corners were cut jagged, not smooth. I returned it for a refund.
