From time to time, Cleis has selected stories from the series to be republished, usually in themed anthologies. This one is a kind of best-of-the-best collection.This book is a collection of erotic stories about characters who are, in the words of the series editor, “outside of dominant mainstream culture.”In the original version of this review, I referred briefly to a sex scene in the title story and quoted the series editor at greater length. That review was judged unsuitable for Amazon.The contributors are a good mix of promising new writers in the field and skilled veterans, and the equal-opportunity approach of the editors of the Best Lesbian Erotica series is one of its hallmarks. Be warned: this book is about lesbian sex. This reviewer found it to be a feast of compelling fantasies.
