Perfect Fit
A little on the pricy side but worth it knowing that I wouldn't have to do the job twice. This is a factory replacement cartridge that installed with minimum effort. After identifying the failed component in my kitchen faucet I needed to be sure my time making the repair would be well spent. When the water pressure was restored it was comforting to see the faucet work flawlessly. The cartridge restored the faucet to its smooth operation once again.

Great part
I recently purchased a cheaper valve and after about 6 months, the valves started squeaking, became difficult to turn off, and became harder to move. This Delta valve fixed all of the issues. Spend a little extra money up front and save the replacement efforts.

After 5 minutes of effort the faucet works like new.
We have a three (3) year old Delta kitchen sink faucet purchased from a big box store that hasn't really worked properly for the past year and a half. It's gotten increasingly creaky/squeaky, difficult to move and was really only provided two (2) water temperatures - too hot or too cold. The complaining finally got so loud that I needed to either replace it or try to fix it. While I wasn't sure that replacing the cartridge would solve the problem, I ordered and installed this one hoping I could avoid spending stupid money to completely replace the faucet. I'm very happy to say that after 5 minutes of effort, the faucet works like new. The process is simple and the only tool I needed was the proper size hex key. Here's the process: 1. IMPORTANT - Shut off the water to the faucet (our shut-off was in the cabinet under the sink) 2. Remove the Hot/Cold indicator button from the faucet handle (ours is a single handle) 3. Use the proper size hex key to remove the grub screw that holds the handle on (the grub screw is hiding under the hot/cold indicator button on the handle) and remove the handle 4. Unscrew and take off the metal cap that covers the old cartridge (no tool required for me, I just grabbed the cap and turned). With the cap off and if you can... take a picture with your phone of the old cartridge so you can be sure to install the new one correctly. Otherwise make sure that you note how the old one was oriented in it's hole 5. Using it's metal stem, pull out the old cartridge (it's tight and required some gentle wobbling back and forth as I pulled) 6. Slide in the new cartridge making sure it is oriented in the hole like the old one was 7. Replace the cap that covers the cartridge (make sure you screw it down firmly) 8. Put the handle back on 9. Turn the water back on. Test it by using the handle to turn the water on, making sure it's giving you hot and cold water and to make sure there are no leaks 10. If everything is okay, put the grub screw back in to hold the handle in place and press the hot/cold indicator back into the handle to cover the grub screw ....... Thats it!

DON"T BUY THE KNOCKOFFS
I bought a knockoff for my delta faucet. The knockoff product was cheaper and it proved to be junk! The non OEM leaked worse than the leak the leak I was fixing, it was stiff, whistled and didn't work properly. Tried for weeks of adjustment with no luck so I returned it and bought this delta valve. This OEM valve works great, easy install, good quality, smooth operation, works exactly how its is supposed to. No issues like the knockoff. Buy this even if it is 2x the money, it's worth it.
