Nice shifter
Great shifter I was worried about it getting hot in the sun and burning my hand but it is not bad at all I like the added weight and the solid feeling of the metal compared to the OEM plastic one. Only complaint is the set screws stripped out because I used the cheap free wrench because I was impatient and didn’t want to go get my t handle set.

Better than I anticipated
Thought that it might be too slippery - but it isn't at all. Thought it would get crazy hot during Texas summers - it didn't. The extra weight makes shifting smoother. I like this quite a bit more than I thought that I would.

Huge difference from the stock shift knob
I bought this to replace the stock shift knob in my 2015 VW GTI S. It came with everything needed to swap old the old one using the stock shift boot. Installation took about 30 min, the hardest part is separating the old knob from the boot, but after that it was easy to install having it look nice and flush with the stock boot. The weight of this knob makes shifting so much easier and quicker. For the price you really can't find a better replacement knob.

Installation took under 5min after watching the install video on their website. I have noticed a smoother shift but not silky smooth which still means I have feel for each shift makes sense as there is more mass therefore more force behind each shift (F=ma). I have a Apr shortshifter on my mkv GTI. The gap is minimum after install between leather and the knob. Make sure if you attempt this to buy a cheap eBay trim with the boot and leather. Besides being cheaper it is easier. I simply removed the knob off the eBay boot and installed the knob. It is important to note this is the light bulb shape from there line of products. A tip for installing is using a weak loctite on the lock nuts securing the knob mount to the shifter otherwise they’ll probably vibrate loose. I’ve placed thin electrical tape over the nuts to make sure they will never fall out, I’ll check tightness in the coming weeks. Anyways fair dinkum I’m pretty happy overall with it. I did buy a leather shift boot from eBay from a Italian craftsman who makes leather shift boots which I’ll later use to replace the cheap Chinese leather. Finally For $150 Aussie bucks It is pretty bloody expensive but I’m supporting a local business in the states. I am however not impressed about how it came with scratches around the knob considering the heft price tag ey? It would be good if they could provide some form of reimbursement but decent service from businesses isn’t common these days
