Q: Which version is better? Original, Europe or this one?

That depends on what you're looking for. Europe is much more streamlined, straightforward where the only "advanced" mechanic is the tunnels and train stations. R&S has a completely different approach on the game. Here you have 2 sets of pieces, ships and trains. 2 sets of cards, for ships and trains. And the goals change a bit, as there's more importance placed now on harbors. You're still connecting routes from city/port to city/port, but there's so much more to take into consideration and it's not as streamlined as the Europe version. Overall, R&S is a more complicated game. That's not to say, that it's a worse game. It's just much different from Europe.

Q: Why is it so much more expensive here on Amazon than I find it on other websites?

Amazon take a 15% commission in the toys and games category of the total amount paid and therefore any pricing has to take this into account. Beyond that, we cannot comment on the prices that other websites charge.

Q: Would a colorblind person be able to play this?

I am not familiar with how much a colorblind person can see, but the game has 5 colors (black, yellow, red, green, and blue) tokens which each player chooses as their own color. The chosen token color also corresponds to your color of trains and ships to be used on the board. The colors on the board are; pinkish purple, black, white, gray, green, yellow, and reddish orange. These board color spaces correspond with ship and rail cards used in play. Each one of the ship or rail cards have a symbol on them as well as the colors on the board (i.e., green has a leaf in an "x" pattern, the reddish orange has a loosely interpreted "flame" design, white is a cross, black is a square diamond shape, etc.). I must admit that the patterns on the board are a little difficult to see, but in good light one should be able to decipher. There is a rainbow card - a "wild" card that has pictures of both a train and a ship - no need to see the colors for that card. All in all, I believe a colorblind person could play if they can decipher the shapes.

Awesome game. Been my favorite boards of all my Ticket to ride boards. Cards, markers and board are very durable provided handled properly and made of high quality materials. Price could have been lower when compared with the same product which is sold at lesser price in USA.
