Q: How often are these to be consumed on long runs

I use 3 of them spaced apart so I have energy at the start. in the middle and near or at the end, it wont hurt to consume 3 during a long run or ride. I am a cyclist so I can store them on me and have them whenever needed!

Q: What are the dimensions of each of the newer, slimmer individual packets?

The new packaging is roughly 6.5"x1.3". We have found that it fits fantastically in cycling jerseys and running shorts. If the "GU" pouch in your running shorts is a bit small we find that folding the packet in half or slightly less solves any issues with the packet being loose in your pocket.
