Mercer Culinary 8-Piece Garnishing Kit,Black

This fits in my hand perfectly. I bought it as a replacement for one I had for years. I thought the other one was good until I got this one. I realize this new one is a much better fit for the size of my hand.

The Mercer M40000 Garnishing Tool Kit I purchased was for my son who is a student at Le Cordon Bleu in Austin, TX. When they arrived he was very pleased and his roommates were jealous. They arrived well packaged and in excellent condition. He has used these in class a few times and was very pleased with their performance. Sharp where it needs to be and has no problems cutting making cooking so much easier and safer.

I bought this as a gift for my dad. We both work in an industrial kitchen. We both also know that people eat with presentation, smell and taste. He’s told me about how much he’s wanted a garnish kit so I got him one for his birthday. It’s been used very frequently and has not failed to do it job. I would reccomend to buy this as a gift to a cook/chef or just for garnish use at home.

This peeler slides across an apple skin instead of peeling it. I'd have to be an engineer to analyse why. Try the Rada Cutlery Vegetable Peeler - almost the same price, and my experience is that it works better.

There are fancier ones, more expensive ones, but this one does the job just fine.

Most vegetable peelers have a rotating head, and for me, that’s very difficult to get a good sturdy, grip when peeling round fruits and veggies like apples or potatoes. I like to use the tip to core strawberries or remove the “eyes” on potatoes. Great buy!
