Q: will they leak is there is liquid present?

Not at all we put stewed tomatoes in them all the time and never had a problem.

Item Dimensions L x W x H 6 x 3.25 x 8.5 inches Dimensions as plainly given in item specifications. These are quart size. If you are looking for a larger bag, then you would want either a GALLON size which holds appx 4x as much as this bag, or the JUMBO size which holds 2.5 gallons (appx 10x as much as this bag).

Q: Where are these hefty bags manufactured? United States or some other country such as China?

United States, I was not happy with them. The boxes were bent so bad, I don't know how many will have rips or holes. I will purchase them from the store the next time.

You could probably get 2 in it. I use it for storage, chips, pretzels, etc. instead of sandwiches. They have special just for sandwiches.
