Bought this as a gift for dad, he likes it a lot and uses it on occasion to polish the cars. Doesn't take long and easy to use. Happy that is ended up being a good present.

The machine is more than enough for a competent diy'er. I've now used this to do mine and 3 other cars. I picked up some better pads and the combo works great.

its a shame they didnt include any description of which pads should be used with which grade compounds on the back of the pads or in the instruction manual, having to load up the amazon page to read the description for that bit of info was a bit of an annoyance but im a beginner trying to detail his car.The device works, it gets hot fast and the pads are ok, it beats polishing by hand thats for sure but for the scratches on my bonnet it didn't really help get rid of them while using the menzerna 3 stage compound 250ml kit, I started with the green pad and the heavy cut compound and it did nothing to some very light scratches that are from a shell drive through wash machine, so maybe its the compound being bad or i didnt apply enough pressure however going through two stages of compound with the green then orange pad and buffing off the residue between and after my bonnet has been colour corrected which im happy with.for the price im happy with it, and im sure with practice and some better information and product i can get the finish im after.

robust,light weight and a lot quiter than i thought it was going to be.i have done both my headlights which were yellow and are now clear and look like new.managed to polish out swirl marks on one wing using Meguiars ultimate compound.this is the first polisher i have owned and so far very pleased.

I purchased this on a whim to help polish my vehicles.Yes it's not a pro-polisher, however, for DIY/Novice use this is a perfect start without the stress of burning through paint.Slightly on the heavy side, but that no bad thing as it means frequent breaks (less chance of doing any harm). The trigger switch has be a bit fiddly, but once you get used to placing your hands it's not an issue.Pros: Price,use of use.Cons: None so far after several uses.

I’ve used a few polishing machines in my time and one of the most important aspects especially for beginners is understanding how to switch out various backing plates and pads as well as the polishing process. This machine is devoid of nearly all of that information. There’s zero information on how to switch the backing plates of different sizes And the instructions on polishing are poor and riddled with poor English. The process for switching out the back plates I actually found from another review on here because I wasn’t getting anywhere and you have to use the spanner to lock the nut at the head of the device above the backing plate, then rotate the backing plate to unscrew it and then insert the other one as necessary. The polisher itself is reasonably quiet, powerful and easy to use so it’s a shame that the instructions aren’t up to the same standard of the polisher
