Shock and awe any intruders with the scream of a BANSHEE!
Love the size of this alarm kit as it allows you to travel with it. Who wouldn't an additional security measure when away from home?If you are not tech savvy, no worries, as you can use it as is, but if you want to unlock all the features a short setup is all that is required. The device will ping your phone/device if a door, window, safe, etc. is opened at any time.

Great simple alarm solution
This alarm is so loud, you can't miss it! It's like a fire alarm went off in your house. I like that it has an app. With the app, I can check on my house even when I'm away. It's like having a security guard in my pocket. I was able to set it up myself in just 10 minutes, no need to call a pro. It runs on batteries, so I don't have to worry about plugging it in. Though the batteries have to be changed out often if you put it in a spot where its activated often. We got this for our back door to alert us in case our toddler tries to escape. He likes to open the back door and run out. You can use it on doors, windows, or even your garage door. It's super flexible!

Time will tell
I want to like these. They ticked all the boxes for me functionality wise. Bought them about 5 months ago but jjst got around to installing last week. Setup was easy and connected to the app in just a few seconds. I have other devices that use the SmartLife app and i like it so that was nice. Worked well for about two days and then both failed and refuse to connect to network or do anything at all. Battery replaced twice: nothing. Tried to reset. Nothing. I pulled the batteries and just left them on my workbench for a few days then decided to try these one more time (same batteries) and voila, they worked again. Going on about 5 days of continuous working so this isnt a long term review but at least these are back to doing their job. Will update this review in a few more months. If yours are giving you problems, maybe try leaving them off (no batteries) for a while and try again. Not exactly a confidence builder in the product, but not useless either.

Don't waste your time
Easy to install app and connect to wi-fi, but alarm wouldn't sound when installed on door. Thought issue was distance between sensor and alarm, so re-installed but that wasn't the issue. I took it off door again and could get it to work when holding sensor and alarm together. Had purchased two alarms but neither worked when installed. Will be returning both. Very disappointing.

Peace of mind
I have the singular alarm set up for the screen of the sliding door to the backyard and on multiple occasions this has kept my cats safe from roommates that are forgetful with closing the door. I have it constantly armed and while it’s annoying to hear the alarm all day while they’re running and out of the house (because at max volume it is obnoxiously loud) it’s worth the peace of mind to know the door is shut. While I got the first one for free from Vine, I will be getting a second one for the front door because apparently keeping the door shut and locked is asking too much for people living in my home for free but what do I know. At least the alarm works! Super easy to setup, super easy to use the SmartLife app to control. When the alarm goes off I also get an alarm sound on my phone, an alert the door was opened, and an alert when it’s closed. All I need now is a sign in the front saying we have surveillance and it’s just as good as a security subscription as far as I’m concerned.

It's okay
I am not entirely pleased with this product. It says it can be as an alarm or a doorbell... there are no settings to change the tone on the unit. I had hoped to put it on the back door down stairs but I cannot hear it in my room when the door opens. In fairness, I was unwilling to install their cell phone application. I am not comfortable with it knowing when my door opens every time. (grin) Perhaps there are settings in the app, but I'll never know.I would not order this product again.

Simple to install and use
This was simple to install, setup and use. I have had similar devices that lasted only a few weeks, they couldn't handle the shock and vibration related to frequent door opening and closing on a shed door. This one has held up for months now and shows no sign of wear. It has been 100% reliable.

Basic door alarm that meets my needs
I have 6 young kids on summer break who can’t keep a door closed to save their life. I’ve needed a solution for awhile and decided to try this.Since I use the Smart Life app for other devices, this was a priority for me to utilize the same app. It took me awhile to get the settings right, but we’re finally there. Unfortunately, there are very few instructions or guidance in configuring the device.Instantaneous open/close alerts aren’t helpful for me. Instead of a security alert when the door is opened, I need a “the door has been open too long” alert. The settings required are in the “timer arm and disarm” section and I setup an action to delay the alarm 15 seconds after opening. Now if the door has been opened for 15 seconds, it will produce an audible alert until the door is closed. Just what I needed. However, I can’t figure out how to produce separate alerts on my phone without paying a monthly service fee. It appears to be all or nothing. Not sure if this is because of the app or the device. It would also be nice to configure the type of sound, but this isn’t critical. After being on operation for a few weeks, this is working well and doing exactly what I needed it for. However, at one point, it stopped working. Apparently, one of the older kids was curious and turned off the alarm at the device by pressing random buttons. I can easily turn it back on either with the button or from my phone, but in terms of security, this isn’t ideal. Of course, there was no notification on my phone that it was turned off.For the price, this is working exactly for what I need it for. The energy savings from keeping the door shut should pay for itself rather quickly. Definitely recommend.
